Toronto Wedding Photography
by Michael Robson
Candid through the day, with direction for the moments that need it.
Most of the time you won't be looking at the camera. I photograph weddings the way they actually run: late, loud, better than planned. I stay out of the way of the moments that can't be recreated. And when the portraits matter, I'll give direction — where to stand, what to do with your hands, whose chin goes where. You'll get the whole day covered, you'll get the ones worth framing, and you'll have a ton of fun along the way.
"This is your calling. You have such an eye to bring a vision to life. Your vision is so beautiful and unique. You just get it. You really have a gift with connecting to a couple and getting them to engage with each other."
- Kiana, bride
Hi, I’m Michael, a husband, a dad, and a wedding photographer.
As a candid photographer, I'm always on the lookout for the meaningful moments - a tear, a laugh, a burst of surprise. I blend into the flow, anticipate key moments, and capture the real interactions.
But that doesn't mean we skip the portraits. I provide direction to my couples, not structured poses, so that your portrait sessions feel natural and relaxed.
With 90+ 5-star reviews on Google, I'm proud of the smiles I've shared and the moments I've captured.

The Process
How it works
Reach out however feels easiest — email, text, or a quick call. We'll connect to answer questions, walk through packages, and make sure we're the right fit before anything else happens.
As your date gets closer, we'll sit down (or jump on a video call) to map out your timeline, must-have moments, family dynamics, and the overall vibe you're going for. The goal: you show up relaxed, knowing exactly what's coming.
You'll receive a curated, professionally edited gallery that feels true to the experience.

FAQ
What's your photography style?
Candid and unobtrusive through most of the day, with bright, clean light and true colour. I document the day as it actually unfolds, so the photos feel like your day rather than a production. That said, I'm also happy to direct where it counts: a few classic couple portraits, family groupings, and wedding party shots, done efficiently so you can get back to your guests. You'll receive a mix of colour and black and white, whichever serves the frame best.
How would you describe your approach on the day itself?
I love to interact with guests and make the group feel comfortable; I find the photos turn out much better this way. I stay flexible and adjust as needed, so no worries if things don't go exactly to plan. Things run late, weather turns, schedules slip; I've seen it all and I keep the day feeling easy.
How soon will we see our photos?
You'll get a first look the very next morning: a set of black and white sneak peeks from the day, ready while the weekend is still buzzing. Your full private online gallery arrives within 30 days, with every image individually edited and yours to download, share, and print.
How many photos will we receive?
It varies with the day, but you'll receive all of the keepers, fully edited, not a curated handful and not padded with near-duplicates. A typical full wedding day lands in the hundreds of images, and every deliverable photo is one I'd be proud to have you print.
How much does it cost to book you?
Smaller celebrations like elopements, ceremonies, and receptions start at $750, and full wedding day coverage starts at $2,800, which includes an engagement session, next-day sneak peeks, and a fine art print. I don't do pushy sales or hidden add-ons: tell me about your day, and I'll recommend the coverage that actually fits. Most couples hear back from me within a day.
How many hours of coverage do we need?
Most full wedding days fit comfortably in 8-12 hours, which usually covers getting ready through the first dances or open dance floor. If you're planning a grand exit or a late after-party, we can extend. During our planning call I'll help you build a timeline, because honest advice about hours is one of the easiest ways I can save you stress and money.
Do you travel for weddings?
Toronto and the GTA are home base, with travel within the city included in every package. I'm happy to travel further for the right celebration, whether that's cottage country, Niagara, or beyond; just tell me where you're getting married and I'll sort out the details in your quote.
How does booking work?
We'll start with either email exchanges or a call to make sure the date works. From there we'll have a conversation and get on the same page about what you're looking for. I'll send you a quote and a retainer secures your date. From there we'll keep in close contact, usually by email, text, or WhatsApp to discuss the finer details leading up to the big day.
